ABOUT AUDREY

Audrey Armacost (she/they) is a creative professional based in Manhattan.

Audrey grew up in Colorado Springs where she did competitive dance for 8 years, competitive camping with her Girl Scout Troop, and competitive fashion shows with her Polly Pocket dolls. One Saturday in 8th grade, she went to the high school to paint sets with her high school sister and was bit by the theatre bug. From that point forward, every lunch period, after school activity, and college application was theatre.

For undergrad, Audrey went to the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BFA in Drama, Acting Emphasis with Honors. She trained in Acting, Dramaturgy, Departures from Realism, Alexander Technique, Movement, Tap and Jazz Dance with a focus in Directing. During the second half of her degree, she focused on directing studies and directed A Doll’s House, Part 2, The Lobster Boy, and other student play festivals. Audrey also performed in numerous productions through her entire time in college, notably #7 in The Wolves which earned her an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Nomination through KCACTF.

For most of her time in college, Audrey also worked as a Recruitment Director for the Helmerich School of Drama at the University of Oklahoma. She led a team of other student employees and worked with faculty to process applications, facilitate auditions, travel to festivals, and plan events. Since moving to New York after graduation, she became a self-taught designer/editor and has worked for Broadway Licensing (Dramatists Play Service/Playscripts), Williamstown Theatre Festival, Music, Movies, & Hoops, Alliance of Resident Theatre/New York, and Buffalo Exchange. Since 2023, she has worked on the social media team at The Pekoe Group, an award-winning creative advertising agency.

Currently as the Creative Content Director at The Pekoe Group, Audrey oversees the ideation, creation, and implementation of all social media content for theatre clients in NYC, London, and North America. More than three years later, she has worked on more than 30 accounts, created thousands of pieces of content, and continues to teach herself new skills. In 2026, she received the Gold Telly Award in the General-Arts & Entertainment category for her Red Carpet Messages video at the Two Strangers Opening Night. She also received two New York Creative Arts Emmy® Award nominations for the Operation Mincemeat Lie Detector and the Two Strangers New York Music Video. She’s passionate about connecting new audiences to the art form that she fell in love with through unique channels of creative storytelling.

In her free time, Audrey enjoys seeing theatre, drag, live music, movies, and going thrifting. She’s also on the Board of Directors for Co.Arts Theater Co., an Oklahoma-based theatre company she helped start in 2020.
